The Eden Valley Friends of Dementia UK is raising money via an art exhibition and auction to help fund an Admiral Nurse for Cumbria, who will be a specialist in Dementia care.

An exhibition of both professional and amateur art, including paintings, prints and ceramics, will take place between December 9th and 19th at Rheged. Alongside this, 1818 Auctioneers are hosting an online auction of art donated by professional artists.

Items in the auction will be available to view at Rheged and also online from the afternoon of December 8th and bids can be made at any time until the auction closes the evening of the 19th.

All the money raised will boost the Eden Valley Friends fund which will help in the establishment of a Community-based Admiral Nurse post for Penrith and the Eden Valley area.
All Admiral Nurses are highly trained and specialists in their field. They work together with families to provide the one to one support, expert guidance and practical solutions those with dementia and their family and carers need to help them live more positively with dementia at all stages of the dementia ‘journey’.

All the work on show will be available to buy and there will be something to suit all tastes and all pockets. What an opportunity to buy original artwork as Christmas presents and at the same time support this worthy Charity and help to make the appointment of an Admiral Nurse in the area become a reality very soon.
