Anne-Marie has joined our saleroom team. Her main role is to unpack and display items for the Antiques, Vintage & Collectables sales. Anne-Marie has traded over the years and has a great depth of knowledge and eclectic taste. She has a great eye for display and is already making an impact within the 1818 Auctioneers team.
Lee works alongside Andy to keep our auctions and saleroom running smoothly. He’s always busy receiving goods for auction and organising the collection of goods following each auction’s close.
Independent valuer – vinyl, memorabilia and posters
Simon takes the lead on our vinyl valuations, particularly on rare pressings and private collections. Simon also works alongside auctioneer Kev Kendal on our specialist Musical Instruments, Equipment and Collectable Vinyl auctions, cataloguing the vinyl section.
He runs his own record label and presses his own vinyl.
As a child Annia could be found rummaging in forgotten boxes in dusty corners of attics, or with her nose in an antiques guide.
Her main passion is for antique textiles, vintage clothing and accessories. Her self taught knowledge has led to a special focus on the 1930s through to the ’50s.
She is also interested in a range of mid-century items including ceramics and anything slightly unusual.
Annia leads our Textiles auctions and works with Garth on cataloguing the Antiques, Vintage & Collectables auctions.
Consultant Book Valuer
Rob is an expert in volumes of all types. He provides valuations and catalogues our regular rare book and antiquarian volumes auctions.
Amy, along with Alison and Rona, handles hundreds, if not thousands, of lots on a weekly basis. It’s non-stop for the saleroom team as they unpack and display items for sale, take most of the photography for use on our website and online bidding platform pre-auction, present the saleroom at its best, keep the valuers and auctioneers on track, and oversee lot collection with the admin team.

Jackie is the cornerstone of 1818 Auctioneers, she has been with the company for 26 years, working mainly as a clerk. She keeps the payments up to date and our accounts straight.
Dawn is our Office Co-ordinator and has a keen personal interest in buying and selling. She takes care of all of the administration and has helped reorganise many aspects of the office, helping put new systems in place to deal with the demands of our growing auction business.
Andy is our process man. He’s in charge of receiving goods for auction, keeping them in excellent order prior to sale, and ensuring that they’re sold in the correct sequence. Andy carries out most of our PAT testing.
Garth is an enthusiastic cataloguer and trainee valuer with a passion to learn. He, sporting his sharp tweed suit, has quickly become a firm favourite with clients. Garth loves music and sells with Kev during our specialist music auctions. But his interests span many areas, particularly things covered in rust.
Saleroom Manager. FLAA, FIA (Scot), FNAVA
Bill joined 1818 Auctioneers in late 2016 and took up the role of Salesroom Manager around that time. An experienced auctioneer, he says he’s still enjoying learning something new every day. Known as Grandad throughout the building, he and his team are working hard to implement his development plan for the 200-year old business.
Ken is our specialist in coins, stamps, postcards, and small militaria including medals, badges, small arms and uniforms. He’s also our man for alcohol, wines, spirits and all ephemera including football programmes.
David will value toys of all eras and has specialist knowledge of railwayana, models and tin plate. He also collates our specialist auctions of figurines and will gladly evaluate your Beswick, BFA, Lladro etc.
David is a generalist valuer with many years of experience in the industry. He has the knowledge to value any item of any type and period.
Saleroom Co-ordinator. FIA (Scot)
Kev welcomes submissions of musical instruments and heads up our specialist auctions of music, memorabilia and vinyl. He’s also a very capable generalist valuer.

Jackie is our in-house expert for all items of silver and jewellery. She catalogues our regular and well-followed silver and jewellery auctions.
