Junior Valuer, Freya, talks us through the Antiques, Vintage and Collectables 24 highlights.

“Among the standout sections is a collection of contemporary Lalique figurines, capturing the elegant, light-filled designs that make Lalique so desirable. Look out for a poised female study, a charming horse, a boisterous elephant calf, and a selection of owls with delicate plumage, all perfect examples of the maker’s timeless craftsmanship.

“Collectors of African, tribal, and ethnographic art will find plenty to admire, too, including carved masks, ritual sculptures, and brass ingots.

“My valuers’ top pick this sale is a large 20th-century West African Senufo Sejen Hornbill (Kalao bird), from the Senufo people of the Ivory Coast. Standing 140cm tall, the carved wooden figure features hammered metal plates and graceful geometric lines. In Senufo culture, the hornbill is a symbol of fertility and creation,  a powerful piece both artistically and spiritually, and a rare find.

Adding a touch of local history, there’s also an intriguing 18th-century legal document signed by William Wordsworth’s (1770-1850) father, John Wordsworth (1741-1783), offering a rare link to the poet’s Cumbrian roots.

With hundreds of lots spanning art, antiques, and curios, there’s something here for every kind of collector. View the full catalogue and bid before November 23, 2025.
