The market town of Kendal, regarded by many as the "Gateway to the Lakes" is a town steeped in history and tradition. The Lake District itself has provided much inspiration to artists, poets and writers through the centuries.
Our roots can be traced back to 1818 and auctions of chattels were originally held in the town centre market hall (now Westmorland shopping centre) before moving to the auction mart on Appleby Road in the 1980's.
All auctions are now held in the purpose designed state of the art saleroom just round the corner on Sandylands Road, complete with all the comforts of a retail environment, including a large screen displaying lots up for auction, fitted carpets and central heating
