The first sale of 2022 got off to a great start with most lots selling in or around estimates.
Included in the sale was the first part of a single owner collection of modern dicasts, mainly 1970’s up to 2010, the 28 lots sold for over £2500.
The final part of a single owner collection of American Brass HO scale trains was also included in this sale and the highlight being lot 1031 A Hallmark Models Inc American Brass HO scale Santa Fe 1A & 1B Locomotive Set, in original box selling for £450.
The 27 lots all sold for over £2500.
A single owner collection of 00 gauge including Hornby, Jouef and Lima sold for over £1400 for the 14 lots.
Individual items of interest included lot 1049 A vintage wooden Railway Sign, “Gentlemen’s Room First Class”. In white lettering on black ground, length 115cm, height 38cm. Hammer price: £240.
Lot 1056, an enamel Furness railway sign, “F.R. WARNING Gates must not be opened until it has been ascertained that the line is clear in both directions”, in white lettering on purple ground 46cm x 46cm. Hammer price: £195.
Lot 1042, a Dinky diecast, Shado UFO Interceptor with rocket present, on inner card display stand, in original box 351. Hammer price: £175.
