This antiques auction was a good all round sale with some higher prices than expected. Two good private collections lead the sale as quality shone through and achieved some high end prices.

Top five selling lots were

Lot 1: A 19th century opium smokers pipe in fine fitted mahogany case with accessories and bamboo shafted pipe having paper label for Gamble and Co Kensington having accessories and two terracotta bowls and two glass with one glass bowl being damaged other excellent condition – £420

Lot 33: An impressive collection of natural history fossils and similar including plant life dinosaur and good collection of shark teeth all displayed or within collectors cabinet – £170

Lot 89 – An Edwardian wall mounted station school or municipal style fusee clock: £160

Lot 32 – Five brass cast snuff or pill case late Victorian including Chippenham Llangeitho Festiniog and Gloucestershire: £160

Lot 101: A Rolleiflex reflex camera by Franke & Heidecke with Campur- Rapid shutter in original leather cover – £150
